the title is whaling, i guess

I'm doing a presentation on sabotage, and am thinking of speaking about Sea Shepherds use of it. And it made me think of what relevant subject whaling was when i was in High School in the early 10s, what happened to that? Do the common public speak much of it anymore?
There were so many documentaries about it in those days, but now it's not so much.I remember a friend from my childhood joined the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, and went to Japan to protest. Wonder what she's up to now as well, and if she's just as passionate about it..
